Pastor receives religious leader award from Girl Scouts Louisiana East Council

Rev. Wayne Taylor of New Life Community Church was recently honored with the Girl Scouts Louisiana East Council’s “Outstanding Religious Leader Award” in recognition of “outstanding support and encouragement for Girl Scouting.”

Rev. Taylor credits the scouting program with his introduction to ministry and to The United Methodist Church. Members of the various troops that meet at the church gathered to present the award to him last week.
