Calling all 2nd-5th graders: Be a 'dactor' during opening worship at AC2015!

May 14, 2015

Children who have completed 2nd-5th grades have the opportunity to join Bishop Cynthia Harvey in opening AC2015, this year’s Annual Conference slated June 7-10 at Centenary College in Shreveport! These children will serve as "dactors," helping to bring scripture “to life” during the June 7 opening service with a combination of dancing and acting. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

For those who can make the trip to Shreveport, here are detailed instructions for our young “dactors”:

Saturday, June 6 from 9-10:30 a.m.—We will rehearse on the main floor of the Gold Dome at Centenary College in Shreveport.

Sunday, June 7 at 3:30 p.m.—We will gather to prepare before the service. Children and families are encouraged to bring money to eat dinner during a break from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There will be a Louisiana Tailgate party in the parking lot of the Gold Dome with lots of local food trucks selling “kid friendly” items. The opening service for AC2015 begins at 7:14 p.m.

What to wear: Jeans and the most colorful shirt you own!

If you can attend, please email stacyhood@gmail.com and let her know that she can count on you participating in this fun and unique adventure!
