First UMC, Lake Charles serves local and global communities during Day of Caring Mission Blitz

More than 110 members of First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles served their local community and beyond during the church’s Day of Caring Mission Blitz held May 2.

Outreach included Habitat for Humanity projects; feeding the area’s homeless through Abraham's Tent; sewing dresses for children in Africa; writing letters to shut-ins; and assembling health kits for United Methodist Committee on Relief.
