Youth Service Fund Sunday is May 3

The Youth Service Fund is a unique ministry that is completely by, with and for youth. Youth raise and contribute money; youth decide what projects receive the money; and the projects supported are youth-designed, youth-led and benefit youth.

All youth of the church have the opportunity to give to Youth Service Fund by creating fundraisers, making pledges or taking collections. Seventy percent of funds raised go to the annual conference to fund local projects, while 30% of funds are used to financially support youth ministry projects around the world through the global Youth Service Fund.

Youth may apply for funding by application, which is due June 1. Project categories are Faith Sharing and Outreach, Leadership Development, Scholarship, Ministry with At-Risk Youth and Agricultural/Vocational.

In 2014, Louisiana raised over $20,000 for the Youth Service fund. Let’s help our youth exceed that goal in 2015!
