GBGM missionary visits Louisiana Conference

Rev. Kristen Brown, a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, visited Louisiana from April 20-26. Brown serves as Coordinator of Interpretation, Education and Advocacy through the Methodist liaison office in Jerusalem. Her time with us included visits to churches in Shreveport, Lafayette and Baton Rouge. During her visit, Rev. Brown spoke at Summer Grove UMC. She shared with the church about current United Methodist advance projects in that region and helped give a clearer picture of what it is like to live in that part of the world. Summer Grove is a partner church with Kristen, who is pictured (middle) with Rev. Mark Bray and Shelley Bray.
