Louisiana Conference BOD Fresh Expressions grant recipients named for 2014-2015

The Louisiana Conference Board of Discipleship has made its selections for the 2014 -15 recipients of the Fresh Expressions ministry micro-grants. Winners include:

Camphor Memorial UMC (Baton Rouge District); project, “A Gumbo of Health, Wellness and Safety”; Rose K. White, project coordinator

Asbury UMC, Natchitoches/NSULA Wesley Foundation (Shreveport District); project, “Asbury Tutoring Program”; Rev. Karli D. Pidgeon, project coordinator

Summer Grove UMC (Shreveport District); project, “Tasty Tuesdays”; Rev. Mark Bray/Angie McEachern, project coordinators

Mallalieu UMC, St Martinville (Acadiana District); project, “Boys 2 Men Seminars”; Rev. Valla Johnson, project coordinator

Thomas UMC, Kenner (New Orleans District); project, “Read and Seed”; project coordinators, Kathy Marshall/Rev. Kaseem Short

New Life Community Church, Luling; project, “Reach Those Who Teach”; project coordinators, Rev. Wayne Taylor/Jennifer Green

Each project is to receive a $500 grant to assist with implementing the chosen ministry project.
