Asbury UMC, Lafayette raises $1,800 for children's home through jambalaya dinner, salsa sales

Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette raised close to $1,800 for the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home during a jambalaya dinner fundraiser held Sept. 21

The group of men pictured here did the cooking for the meal, which the group hopes to make an annual event. Adding to the profits, members of Asbury's youth group sold the "famous" children's home salsas.
