Conference UMM up for recognition for prep of 10,300 meals for Stop Hunger Now

The Louisiana Conference United Methodist Men have been nominated for a denominational UMM competition that honors annual conferences, districts and local churches for significant ministries to men and youth. The Conference UMM were nominated for the assembling of 10,300 dehydrated meals for Stop Hunger Now, a global humanitarian aid organization. The packing—done side by side with a large group of Scouts--was the service component of their annual meeting this past May.

All chartered local church units and districts are challenged to submit their ministries projects in this competition. Read more.
