A letter from the Bishops of the United Methodist Conferences of Texas

A letter from the Bishops of the United Methodist Conferences of Texas is calling on the people of The United Methodist Church to respond faithfully in the midst of the humanitarian crisis at our country’s southern border.
My colleagues and I have issued the pastoral letter (see below) to the United Methodists in Texas. It is our prayer that the letter wilI be incorporated into sermons or worship liturgy, that Bible study groups will focus on the cited texts, and that it be included in local church newsletters. We also hope that local church mission committees will find it helpful in planning a faithful response to the needs of these children at our doorstep.
