Federation community concert performed in memory of Rev. Freddie Henderson
The 24th annual Sounds of CommUNITY Concert, sponsored by the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge, will be performed in memory of the late Rev. Freddie Henderson, beloved Louisiana Conference pastor who served as past president of the Federation and as the co-founder of the Federation-sponsored Holy Grill.
The concert, slated for May 4 at 4 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 544 Government St. in Baton Rouge, will feature musical selections performed by Jordan, Wesley and St. Luke UMCs along with choirs from churches representing a broad range of denominations. The concert is free and open to the public. A free will donation will be received.
The concert is also dedicated to the memory of long-time Federation staff member and concert coordinator, the late Vivian Walker.
