Vision, Core Values the focus of Bishop’s Laity Retreat

United Methodists from throughout the Louisiana Conference gathered March 21-22 with Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey at the Wesley Center in Woodworth for the Bishop’s Laity Retreat.
“Beyond Daydream Discipleship: The Wesleyan Challenge for the People Called Methodists” was the theme for this event which featured Rev. Dr. David Lowes Watson as facilitator. Dr. Watson, a noted author on evangelism and congregational life, led the group in examining how churches can best live out the Louisiana Conference vision, preferred future and core values.
