First United Methodist Church in Alexandria averaged more than 180 children daily with more than 50 volunteers during this summer’s Vacation Bible School. The theme was Everywhere Fun Fair, offering children the opportunity to learn about God’s world and how to be good neighbors to people from all nations.
The children heard Bible stories about being welcoming and forgiving, and made crafts from five different countries. Projects included African masks, Australian didgeridoos and Japanese fish kites. Participants enjoyed fun science experiments creating volcanoes and artificial waves.
