Edwards named New Orleans D.S.

Rev. Hadley R. Edwards has been appointed as New Orleans District Superintendent starting this July 1.

     Rev. Edwards is a native of Fulton, Missouri and a 1977 graduate of Fulton High School. In 1981 he graduated from Central Methodist College, Fayette, Missouri with a B. A. Degree in Religion. While in Fayette, during his college career, Edwards pastored St. Paul and Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church in Glasgow, Missouri from 1979-1981. Upon graduation from Central Methodist College, Edwards was employed in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for the College. He worked in that capacity one year before entering seminary at Perkins School of Theology, at Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dallas, Texas.
     In June of 1982, Edwards’ professional career with the United Methodist Church led him to Midland, Texas. He was served as pastor of Hollowell UMC for 15 years. In May of 1986, Edwards graduated from Perkins School of Theology.
     Rev. Edwards has served St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fayette, Missouri, Lewis Chapel UMC in Glasgow, Missouri, Hollowell UMC in Midland, Texas, Mackey Chapel UMC in Odessa, Texas and Bethany UMC in New Orleans, La.
