To better inform all interested parties, we want to advise you of informational meetings regarding proposed changes to the retiree health benefit offering for the Louisiana Conference.
 
The HealthCARE2020 Task Force has been meeting since May 2018 studying the challenge regarding our current benefit obligation ($33,000,000) versus designated assets of $6,000,000. 

The Conference Board of Pensions and Health Benefits, upon recommendation from the Health Care 2020 Task Force, is proposing a solution for this $27 million dollar challenge in June at the Annual Conference.

This will establish a private exchange through Via Benefits, in partnership with Wespath Benefits and Investments. The solution will allow eligible retirees access to multiple Medicare supplement or Advantage plans under one-on-one consultation and assistance, plus an annual subsidy Health Reimbursement Arrangement of $1,200 per person per year.

Active and retired clergy, spouses and surviving spouses can attend any District meeting.
Family members and caregivers are also welcome.
