Commission On Archives And History
Welcome to the Louisiana Annual Conference's Commission on Archives & History. This page will present information on the Commission's members, activities, and reports. The Commission on Archives and History serves the Church’s “Ministry of Memory” so we may continue to learn from our past and anticipate our future. Our mission is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the historically significant records of the Louisiana Annual Conference and its agencies.
The Commission usually meets at the Archives on the first day of Annual Conference. It is composed of 7 members, clergy and laity, from around the Conference. Each year, the Commission submits a report for the Journal. Reports are under the Conference Archives link to the right.
Applications for Historic Site designation should be submitted to the Commission for consideration and presentation to Annual Conference. For more information and an application, go to the Historic Site page.
