This year's Charge Conferences will take place in 5 locations across the Baton Rouge District. One new feature for this year is a catered meal, compliments of the Methodist Children's Home (MCH). This will be an opportunity for Christian fellowship as we break bread together. During the meal, there will be a presentation about MCH's exciting plans for a state-of-the-art residential facility, currently under construction in our district on a beautiful piece of property near Loranger. As time gets closer, there will be an opportunity to make meal reservations.

All members of your Church Council are invite to attend the Charge Conference as voting members (and others may attend as non-voting guests.) As in years past, all business items to be approved at Charge Conference are to have been approved by the Church Council ahead of the Cluster Meeting.

Along with the meal and the business portion, there will be worship, as well as a time for conversation with the District Superintendent. The entire event will last less than two hours. It is hoped that by bringing the Church Conferences to various regions of the District, more laity will be able to attend.
