Reblogged from: Thailand Medical Mission
The team traveled 3 hours North to Chiang Rai, and started our day by attending church at the UMC at the Arkha villages. We were greeted by two sweet ladies that were dressed in their villages traditional costumes. After that, we were able to visit a market that had representation from 5 hill tribes. We enjoyed shopping and learning more about their cultures. Some of us even tried some traditional Arkha dancing. We then visited Gideon Chiang Rai church. We met with the pastor and his wife and discussed their mission. Their congregation is made up of college kids attending universities in the area. After getting settled in at the hotel, the team had dinner at a new mall in the area.
