Christian Education? What's That?

What images come to mind when you hear the words Christian education ? Are your first thoughts of children in classrooms studying the Bible? For many of us the Sunday school is the primary place that we think of when we consider what it means to provide Christian education. But exactly what is it that happens in a Sunday school class that enables Christian education and formation to take place?

Sunday School
      The primary avenue for Christian education in The United Methodist Church over the years has been Sunday School. It is traditionally held on Sunday morning. Classes are held for people of all ages.

Vacation Bible School
     Vacation Bible School can have a very positive influence on the spiritual development of a child's life. Many churches have found Vacation Bible School (VBS) to be a valuable outreach ministry to share God's love with their neighborhood and community. Let VBS energize your church and it's ministry to children.
