- Coordinates the activities of the overall Lay Speaking program in the Conference
- Resource person for District Directors
Conference Lay Speaking Committee
- Organizes the Lay Speaking plan for the Conference throughout the 9 Districts
District Lay Speaking Directors
- Coordinates the activities of Lay Speakers within their District
- Resource person for local and certified lay speakers in the District
- Handles publicity, correspondence, set-up, coordination, etc. for courses
District Lay Speaking Committees
- Organizes the Lay Speaking plan within a District
- Approves applications for courses ... basic and advanced
- Approves certified & local status upon receipt of yearly reports from charge conferences
- Schedules (at the end of each year) courses to be held in the District for the following year
Course Schedule
- Each District should offer at least 1 Basic Course and 1 Advanced Course per year
- The Basic Course can be taught by clergy or laity (usually experienced certified lay speakers)
- The Advanced Courses can be taught by clergy or laity experienced in that area.
