As you explore God’s call in your life, you may find helpful information at the following resources and programs.
The Pastoral Leadership Search Effort (PLSE, pronounced ‘pulse’) helps to identify and cultivate gifted young people interested in exploring the ministry as a possible vocation.
The General Board of Global Ministries has information that can help you to explore if your calling may be in volunteer or professional missionary service.
The Louisiana Conference offers the Discerners Academy to lead discerners in exploring their call in light of their talents, skills, gifts, and the needs of the world in which they live. It consists of six weekend retreats over a period of two years.
EXPLORATION 2006: DIVE IN - MAKE WAVES
The Conference regularly holds Discerning the Call events to allow young people (17-24) to explore their calling.
For 2006, participants will attend Exploration 2006: Dive In – Make Waves. The event, sponsored by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry will be held Nov. 17-19, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida.
The registration fee is $150. The Division of Ordained Ministry will be offering a
limited number of scholarships for eligible participants. Online registration and a
printable registration form will be available March 1, 2006.
