The Celebration of Remembrance and Holy Communion began with Pre-Service music performed the Chancel Choirs of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston and First United Methodist Church in Monroe.  The music leader was Dr. Paul Saik.  The opening prayer was delivered by Dr. Barry Hughes, which was based on a Jewish Memorial prayer. Rev. Derrick Hills offered the scripture reading from Psalm 23.  A Prayer for the Saints was offered by Rev. Clifton Conrad and Dr. Odell Simmons delivered the sermon entitled “Pass It On.”

The Closing Voluntary was given by organist McCoy Ransom.  Bishop Hutchinson led the Sending Forth Service and dismissed the Conference with a blessing.
